JNS.org — At a recent rally held by the Palestinian Authority’s ruling Fatah political party, “plaques of glory and honor” were presented to the relatives of two terrorists and a young girl sang a chant encouraging violence.
In its latest report on Palestinian incitement, Palestinian Media Watch (PMW) said Thursday that at a celebration of the Fatah movement’s anniversary, the Palestinian girl sang: “death is insignificant, O Arabs, I love Palestine – the blood is spilled for it. This is what Yasser [Arafat] called for…He announced: For the sake of Jerusalem my path is burning.”
At the same rally, plaques were awarded to the families of Palestinian terrorists Zaid Younes, who was involved in a 2002 suicide attack in Tel Aviv that injured 23 people, and Nael Yassin, who murdered Israeli Border Police officer Yosef Tabjeh in 2000 and was involved in dozens of other attacks until he was arrested in 2006.
PMW said this rally was but one example of the PA’s system of indoctrinating Palestinian youth to revere “martyrdom.”
