A new Hamas propaganda music video making the rounds on the internet features a heavy dose of gory imagery, bombastic anti-Israel threats and antisemitic motifs.
“A rocket will come to you Zionist wherever you live,” the lyrics say. “You will die sleeping, awake or on the mountain. I will make you drink from the glass of death, what a bitter taste.”
The video was published after the Israeli military struck a number of Hamas targets in the Gaza Strip on Monday in response to a rocket that was fired into southern Israel.
The IDF holds Hamas — the terrorist group that rules Gaza — responsible for all violence emanating from the coastal enclave.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Monday said he would not tolerate a “drizzle” of rocket attacks from Gaza. “My policy is to respond strongly to any rocket fire,” he said. “We are firm in this response.”
This is not the first time Hamas has produced an anti-Israel propaganda music video. During Operation Protective Edge, one such video — titled “Strike, Carry Out Attacks” — went viral, and many parody versions mocking it were made by Israelis.
