JNS.org – A Palestinian terrorist armed with a knife in each hand was shot and killed Wednesday when he attacked a man inside his home in the South Hebron Hills.
Saad Muhammad Ali Qaisiya, from the nearby village of ad-Dhahiriya, approached the house of Shabtai Koshobalski, who opened his front door when he heard a suspicious noice outside and was confronted by the the attacker.
Koshobalski fought with the terrorist until his dog intervened, biting Qaisiya and giving Koshobalski time to run and retrieve his gun from the living room. Koshobalski then shot and killed the terrorist, who had followed him into the room.
Before being shot, the terrorist stabbed Koshobalski, lightly wounding him, an Israel Defense Forces spokesperson said.
Koshobalski’s wife and baby were in the adjacent room throughout the ordeal.
Security forces arrived at the scene and searched the area for possible accomplices.
Hebron Hills Regional Council head Yochai Damari noted that Wednesday was the Koshobalskis’ wedding anniversary, “on which they will now also celebrate the miracle of their rescue.”
Also Wednesday, a rocket fired from Gaza exploded in southern Israel, causing no harm. Following a similar rocket attack on Feb. 27, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu had ordered airstrikes against Hamas targets in Gaza.
