JNS.org – An Israeli soldier was wounded Monday in a Palestinian car-ramming terror attack at a junction in eastern Gush Etzion, south of Jerusalem.
The terrorist was killed by Israeli security forces on a road between the Jewish communities of Tekoa and Efrat, the IDF said.
The injured soldier, 20, sustained wounds to his arms and legs and received treatment at the scene of the attack from United Hatzalah volunteers and IDF medics. He was then transferred to Jerusalem’s Shaare Zedek Medical Center, where he arrived fully conscious.
According to the IDF, the terrorist, who has yet to be identified, exited the crashed vehicle and attempted to stab nearby soldiers before being shot. IDF medics treated the wounded terrorist at the scene of the attack, but pronounced him dead shortly after the incident.
Since September 2015, Palestinian terrorists have killed 43 Israelis, two American tourists and a British exchange student in numerous stabbing, shooting and vehicular terror attacks.
