JNS.org – Israeli soldiers came under attack in Jenin Tuesday night, when Palestinian terrorists threw dozens of explosives at troops from the IDF’s Maglan Special Forces unit.
The soldiers had been searching the city for suspects involved with terrorist activity against civilians and Israeli security forces, as part of overnight raids throughout the dispute territories.
After coming under attack, the soldiers returned fire at the Palestinian terrorists, killing two and wounding two others. The IDF reported that no soldiers were harmed in the incident.
The IDF, the Shin Bet security agency and the Israel Police arrested 21 Palestinian terror suspects Tuesday. The overnight assault on Israeli soldiers in Jenin followed a Palestinian car-ramming terror attack Monday at a junction in eastern Gush Etzion, south of Jerusalem. An Israeli soldier sustained arm and leg injuries in that incident.
Since September 2015, Palestinian terrorists have killed 43 Israelis, two American tourists and a British exchange student in numerous stabbing, shooting and vehicular terror attacks.
