For peace to be possible, the Palestinians must recognize reality and accept Israel’s existence, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said in a “VICE News Tonight” interview that aired on HBO on Tuesday.
“It’s time to tell Palestinians: Abandon your fantasy of destroying Israel,” Netanyahu told VICE founder Shane Smith, a day after the US opened its embassy in Jerusalem and 60 Palestinian rioters were killed on the Gaza border. “Abandon the fantasy that you will conquer Jerusalem. Abandon the fantasy that says Israel will disappear. It will not.”
Netanyahu also showed Smith remnants of an explosives-rigged Iran that was shot down in February after it penetrated Israeli airspace.
