JNS.org – May logged the highest number of terror attacks against Israelis in two and a half years, with an almost 40 percent hike in April, according to a monthly report by the Israel Security Agency.
Of the 365 attacks in May, 271 involved firebombs. The tally was the highest since October 2015, when a whopping 620 attacks were recorded against Israelis.
One of the attacks resulted in a death – Duvdevan unity soldier Ronen Lubarsky was killed when Palestinians in Samaria dropped a stone slab on his head as his unit made terror-related arrests in the al-Am’ari camp near Ramallah. One soldier was injured in an explosion in Jerusalem and three others, as well as an Israeli civilian, were hurt by a rocket launched from Gaza.
