UK Labour Party leader Jeremy Corbyn is a “virulent antisemite,” renowned US legal expert Alan Dershowitz asserted in an interview with a British television station this week.

Dershowitz — who has gained widespread attention recently for his public defenses of scandal-ridden US President Donald Trump — was asked by Channel 4 News interviewer Matt Frei, “Where is the moral backbone of America these days?”

In response, Dershowitz shifted the topic to Corbyn, saying, “Well where is the moral backbone of Great Britain to have as the head of the Labour Party a virulent antisemite, a virulent hater of Jews and the nation-state of the Jewish people?”

“Don’t lecture us about our political system as long as you have Jeremy Corbyn, who may potentially become the next prime minister of England,” Dershowitz exclaimed. “Shame on Great Britian for allowing that to come to pass.”
