Iranian President Hassan Rouhani endorsed continued Palestinian “resistance” against Israel during a meeting on Tuesday in Tehran with the visiting leader of the Islamic Jihad terrorist group.
According to Iran’s semi-official state news agency Mehr, Rouhani said, “Since the beginning of the Islamic Movement in 1964, Palestine has been one of the most important issues for all revolutionaries in Iran.”
Palestinian “resistance” — a common euphemism for terrorism used by the Tehran regime — “must continue until the Zionist enemy is surrendered to the rights of the Palestinian nation,” he added.
The Islamic Jihad chief, Ziad al-Nakhala, thanked Iran for backing the Palestinians, saying, “Without a doubt, the Islamic Republic of Iran’s support and stances have had a great role in the failure of attempts to close the case of [the] Palestinian nation’s rights.”
