Two Palestinian terrorists threw an explosive device at Israeli soldiers near the West Bank city of Jenin on Monday.
According to Hebrew news site Walla, the attackers approached an IDF checkpoint on a motorcycle, at which point they hurled the device, which did not injure the soldiers present.
The soldiers opened fire in response, killing one of the terrorists and wounding the other in the lower body.
The wounded terrorist was transported to a hospital for treatment.
The incident was the second failed attack in less than a week in the West Bank.
Last Wednesday, a female Palestinian terrorist approached a checkpoint east of Jerusalem and attempted to stab an IDF soldier with a knife. The assailant was shot and killed. No Israelis were injured.
