JNS.org – Israel launched strikes along the Golan Heights border region, reported Syrian state media on Monday evening.
Israel Defense Forces’ tanks struck a razed hospital and an observation position in Quneitra, creating only material damage, according to local Syrian media.
Tanks targeted numerous regime posts in Quneitra linked to the regime of Syrian President Bashar Assad, the report added.
“If confirmed, the Israeli strikes would be the first on regime positions along the Golan Heights border since mid-2018,” reported i24 News.
The IDF has not confirmed or denied responsibility for the strikes.
Israel reopened its side of the border crossing in Quneitra a few months ago after a joint agreement with Syria and the United States, who called on the Mideast nations to allow peacekeepers to work in the area.
