Actress Patricia Arquette Schools ‘Ignorant’ Twitter User About Female Abuse, Discrimination

Actress Patricia Arquette engaged in a heated conversation with a Twitter user about women being abused and discriminated against in countries around the world.
The exchange began in response to a Twitter post highlighting a video by The Economist that explained how women were banned from certain jobs in 104 countries. A social media user with the username “The Bitter Truth” condemned the video for being hypocritical, saying, “Beautifully played. First you promote that women be banned from all dangerous, risky and tough physical labor jobs. then cry and promote as if women are victim of this ban. While asking for reservation in parliament, never seen asking for reservation in sewage cleaning job.”
Arquette, whose mother is Jewish, criticized “The Bitter Truth” for the remarks, saying, “Women are having acid thrown in their faces. Married then left and abandoned by men and a million other dishonorable acts and you act righteous?…Shame on you.”
In response, the Twitter user said he did not feel ashamed for his comments and told the actress, “You are proving to be holocaustic & want to punish me for the crime done by other man.” The user also accused Arquette of having a “Nazi mentality” for saying most rapists were male, although that comment has since been deleted.
Arquette argued back, saying, “Stop it. Stop using stupid tacky words. You are ignorant about disgusting things in world horrible things in history done to Jewish people and to women. If you can’t learn how to be kind and loving to women you will never have a happy relationship with one.”
