17,629 Babies Born in Israel Since Oct. 7 Attack

Nearly 18,000 babies have been born in Israel since Oct. 7, with many of them named after the towns and victims attacked by Hamas that day, according to Israel’s Population and Immigration Authority.
Of the 17,629 babies, 34 boys and 11 girls were named Be’eri and 49 boys and one girl were named Oz, both after the kibbutzim which were attacked by Hamas terrorists on Oct. 7. Additionally, three girls were named Nova after the name of the music festival were hundreds were murdered.
Israel’s Jewish population stands at 7,181,000, based on data released by the country in September.
