Actress, comedian, and podcast host Amanda Seales has been sharing daily with her 2.2 million Instagram followers messages, photos, and videos criticizing Israel and the country’s ongoing military campaign against Hamas terrorists controlling the Gaza Strip.
From 2017 to 2021, Seales starred in the HBO comedy series Insecure. She had an HBO stand-up comedy special titled I Be Knowin, was a former co-host of the syndicated daytime talk show The Real, and hosted NBC’s Bring the Funny. She has a weekly podcast called Small Doses and a book by the same name.
In her Instagram Stories this week alone, Seales posted an image of a tweet claiming that Israel is “asserting white superiority” over the Palestinians and shared a video of children at a pro-Palestinian rally chanting “Free, Free, Free Palestine” and “From the river, Palestine will be free.” The slogan has been widely interpreted as a call for Israel, which is located between the Jordan River and the Mediterranean Sea, to be eradicated and replaced by “Palestine.”

She also shared on her Instagram Story messages that call for a boycott of Israel and lambast the United States for aiding Israel amid its war against Hamas. She additionally reposted a video showing a compilation of images taken at a pro-Palestinian rally where protesters held signs that read, “boycott Israel,” “Free Palestine,” and “End Israel state terror.” Other banners at the rally accused Israel of colonialism and genocide.
Speaking into the camera in a video she shared on her Instagram Story on Tuesday, Seales said, “The Israel state was created to have a transfer of white supremacy, you don’t see that? You don’t see the absolute racism they enact not just towards Palestinians but towards Black people? Like, them people racist.” She additionally said Israel supporters are part of a “cult of colonialism that believe yeah, we have the right to take,” and that any support they show for the Black community in America is “from a supremacy standpoint.” She then warned her fans, “be careful of people whose generosity only extends from their dominance.”
On Wednesday, Seales reposted a video commentary on the recent congressional testimonies given by top American college presidents about antisemitism at their universities. The commentator in the clip called US Rep. Elise Stefanik (R-NY), who grilled the university presidents, a “known antisemite” and blasted her for asking questions about the genocide of Jews.
Seales, who also advocates for a ceasefire between Israel and Hamas, shared in a permanent post on her Instagram page a video in which Israel is described as “a white supremacist state.” She also called it “disappointing” that musician Ziggy Marley, the son of reggae icon Bob Marley, expressed support for Israel and called for Gaza to be “free from Hamas.”
The comedian is set to perform in New York City’s Minetta Lane Theatre from Dec. 14-16 for an event titled “In Love and Struggle,” which “brings together a group of visionary Black women and nonbinary people for a series of unforgettable evenings filled with storytelling, music, comedy, and monologues.”
The Minette Lane Theatre did not immediately respond to The Algemeiner‘s request for comment about Seales’ social media activity.
