Israeli Coldplay Fans Chant ‘Bring Them Home’ at British Band’s Concert in Athens

Israeli fans chanted “Bring them home” at a Coldplay concert in Athens, Greece, on Sunday, calling for the return of the 116 people who remain held hostage by Hamas in the Gaza Strip since the Oct. 7 terrorist attacks.
The chant started as the British rock band finished playing its song “Yellow,” which is the color used to symbolize support for the hostages.

The concert took place after Hamas hostages Noa Argamani, Shlomi Ziv, Almog Meir Jan, and Andrey Kozlov were rescued in an Israeli military occupation carried out on Saturday, more than eight months after they were abducted by Hamas terrorists.
Israeli comedian Guy Hochman also tried to jump on the stage at Coldplay’s concert in Athens while having an Israeli flag draped on his shoulders, but instead he fell and broke a rib. Coldplay lead singer Chris Martin, who has visited Israel in the past, immediately stopped the concert after Hochman fell to check on him and make sure he was alright. The band’s concert reportedly ended with Martin performing a rendition of “All My Love,” which was not on the original printed set list.
Among the 250 hostages taken by Hamas during the terrorist organization’s deadly massacre on Oct. 7, it is believed that 116 of them remain in Gaza and not all of them are alive. During a week-long ceasefire in November, 105 civilians were released from Hamas captivity and four hostages were released before that. Seven living hostages have been rescued by the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), and the bodies of 19 hostages have also been recovered, including three mistakenly killed by Israeli soldiers in December.
In 2022, Coldplay brought an Israeli teenage guitarist on stage to perform with them during a concert in Brussels, Belgium.
