Four pro-Palestinian fans, some of whom were holding large Palestinian flags, were kicked out of Camden Yards baseball stadium in Baltimore during the second inning of the Baltimore Orioles-Cleveland Guardians game on Wednesday night.
Video shared on social media showed security personnel in Camden Yards escorting the fans, who were standing close to the field behind home plate, out of the arena. While they were leaving, other fans in the stadium booed and yelled profanities at them including “Get the f—k out of here.” One demonstrator who was removed from the stadium shouted “Free Palestine” as he was walking out of Camden Yards, and two others waved Palestinian flags — one of which said “Palestine” — as they walked up the steps and out of the stadium.
The booted fans unveiled their flags behind home plate and briefly chanted in support of the Palestinians before being removed. The Orioles said in a statement to The Baltimore Sun that the individuals “displaying political signage, which is a violation of our policy, were not seated in their ticketed seats and incited fans in the surrounding area. They were removed from the ballpark.”
The Orioles won Wednesday’s game 4-2.
